Kasper and Cassidy have both worked with children and youth for many years, witnessing daily the emptiness, lack of purpose, depression, addiction, and brokenness in many of their lives. After this period, they realized even more deeply that true healing can only be found in the unconditional love of God, the true key to restoration and wholeness.
God's Perfect Plan
The calling
After Kasper laid down his professional sports career in obedience to God, the Holy Spirit led him three weeks later to a documentary about a family home where 8 orphaned children lived. God spoke: "This is your calling." Together with Cassidy, they would create a place where children, teenagers, and youth feel loved, heard, and seen — a home for those without a home. But above all; a place where they come to know Jesus.
God's provision
In early 2024, during a period of prayer and fasting, God spoke powerfully to Kasper and Cassidy that they needed to sell their business and establish 'the foundation.' They then received the revelation of God's vision and the name for this foundation: House of Agapé – a place where His unconditional love is central, built on four pillars: adoption, gatherings, coaching, and education.
Because their current apartment was too small, outdated, and unsuitable, they began searching for a home. After several viewings, God spoke clearly: 'Stop searching, I have a house for you.' While they waited in faith, the Holy Spirit led Kasper to a family home in Houten, where he began working two days a week. There, the foster parents told him about their second property, a farmhouse that had been sold twice under reservation, but both times the sale had fallen through. When they shared this, the Holy Spirit said: 'That is your house.'
The fulfillment
God provides
And sure enough, a few months later the moment has come: In January 2025, the farmhouse at Rijsbruggerweg 7 in Bunnik becomes the new home of Kasper and Cassidy, where they launch House van Agapé. This will be no ordinary home, but a place where God's unconditional love becomes visible and tangible.
We look back in awe at how the Holy Spirit has guided us and how God has provided in everything. His timing is perfect, and His plan is always good. We cannot wait to get started and welcome everyone to this place. You are warmly invited to become part of what God is going to do here. Kasper and Cassidy Averink are blessed with two beautiful children, Joseph (2) and Joël (1). Together, they follow the calling that God has placed on their lives through House of Agape: standing up for orphans, widows and families, both at home and abroad.
